Odoo Modules Implementation and Configuration

Odoo modules are the business applications that make up the Odoo ERP, from accounting and inventory to CRM, manufacturing, and eCommerce, all running on one shared database. Most companies do not need all of them, they need the right ones configured correctly and connected to each other. At Adatasol, we’re a certified, U.S.-based Odoo Ready Partner, and we implement, configure, and connect the Odoo modules that run your business.

What Are Odoo Modules?

Odoo modules are connected business applications that add specific capabilities to the Odoo ERP platform. Each module manages a defined area, such as customer relationships, quotations, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, accounting, projects, human resources, point of sale, or eCommerce.

Odoo modules share products, customers, vendors, employees, orders, financial records, and operational data when they are configured together. This modular structure lets you begin with the applications you need now and extend the system as your processes, teams, and reporting requirements grow.

Odoo ERP Modules We Implement and Configure

Our Odoo module implementation expertise helps you configure the right apps, connect key workflows, and run every department from one ERP system instead of scattered tools.

Odoo Accounting and Finance

Unify invoices, payments, reconciliation, and reporting in one system, with your books fed by the operations that generate them rather than by a spreadsheet at month end.

Odoo CRM

Manage leads, pipeline stages, and follow-ups in one place, so deals are visible to managers and a qualified opportunity carries into a quotation without re-entry.

Odoo Sales and Quotations

Turn priced quotations into confirmed sales orders that drive delivery and invoicing, with pricelists and invoicing policies that reflect how your contracts are written.

Odoo Inventory and Warehouse

Track stock as it moves across locations, with reordering rules, lot and serial traceability, and valuation that reaches your accounts.

Odoo Website and eCommerce

Run an online store on the same catalog, pricing, and stock as your other channels, with a migration planned so your search traffic is protected rather than gambled.

Odoo HR and Payroll

Hold employee records, contracts, time off, attendance, and expenses in one system, and generate the work records your payroll run depends on.

Odoo Project Management

Track tasks, timesheets, and project profitability, so you learn whether a project is making money while there is still time to do something about it.

Odoo Manufacturing

Run bills of materials, work orders, and work centers, with component availability and production costs recorded against the build that actually happened.

Odoo Purchase and Procurement

Centralize vendors, RFQs, purchase orders, and approval rules, and control what you pay through bill control and matching against what you received.

How Odoo Modules Work Together

Odoo modules create the most value when they support complete business processes rather than isolated departmental tasks. We design and test the connections between applications so each team receives the records and information it needs.

Quote to cash

A qualified opportunity in CRM becomes a quotation in Sales, which becomes a confirmed sales order, which creates a delivery in Inventory and an invoice in Accounting according to your configuration. One customer commitment, one chain of records.

Procure to pay

A shortage against your reordering rules raises a purchase proposal, which becomes an RFQ and a purchase order, which creates a receipt in Inventory, which enables a vendor bill in Accounting under your bill control policy.

Order to delivery

A confirmed order reserves stock through your routing rules, generates a picking, and reduces on-hand quantities as goods leave, so what your sales team can promise reflects what your warehouse actually holds.

Plan to produce

Demand and reordering rules drive manufacturing orders, which consume components and receive finished goods as stock moves, with component and operation costs recorded against the production run.

Work to invoice

Hours logged against a project task become project cost and, where the work is billable, feed the invoicing of client time under the policy set on the service product.

Channel to ledger

A sale placed on your website or rung up at a register lands in the same stock and the same accounts as a sale taken by a rep, so your revenue is one figure rather than three that need reconciling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Odoo publishes a large catalog of applications, but most businesses run a handful. The ten on this page cover the functions that carry the majority of the work: accounting, sales, CRM, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, HR, projects, eCommerce, and point of sale. What you need depends on where your process actually hurts, and we would rather scope you into two modules that work than ten that half-work.

Start where your data lives and your pain is worst. The modules downstream inherit from the ones upstream, which is why accounting and inventory are usually configured before CRM and eCommerce: a store or a pipeline built on a broken chart of accounts or unreliable stock quantities produces confident, incorrect numbers. We map the sequence during discovery rather than applying a template.

No, and we usually recommend against it. Odoo is modular, so a phased rollout lets your team absorb one change at a time and lets each phase be validated before the next depends on it. What matters is that the foundation modules are configured with the later phases in mind, because retrofitting a chart of accounts or a warehouse structure after three more modules are sitting on it is expensive.

They connect natively, because they are applications on one database rather than separate products with a connector between them. A confirmed sales order can create a delivery and an invoice without an export or a sync. What still takes work is the configuration: the routes, policies, and rules that decide exactly how the data moves. That configuration is the implementation.

Odoo offers a Community edition, an Enterprise edition, and a One App Free plan covering one selected application on Odoo Online with unlimited users. Most core modules are available in Community. Enterprise provides Odoo’s wider licensed applications and services, including hosting, support, and upgrade services, and the specific split varies by module. We review it with you through our Odoo Licensing service before recommending an edition.

It depends on the modules you need and what sits around them, not on company size. Some capabilities that clients assume come as standard are licensed, and some they assume are licensed are not. The honest answer is that this has to be checked against the specific applications, hardware, and services on your list, which we do before you commit to a subscription rather than after.

Cost depends on which modules you implement, the number of users, the edition, the state of your existing data, and the integrations and customizations you need. A single-module setup on clean data is a different project from a multi-module rollout with migration and custom development. We scope your requirements and give you a clear estimate and timeline after discovery.

That is a common reason people find us. A module that was configured without finance, a migration that corrupted opening balances, or a rollout that the team quietly worked around are all recoverable. Our Odoo Rescue service audits what is there, identifies what is actually broken, and gives you a recovery plan rather than a recommendation to start again.
