So my birthday is coming up this Sunday. Every year I have to askmy husband and my kids how old am I going to be? I can never remember! I’m not kidding either. I’m not sure if its a fear of getting older or birthdays just aren’t that important to me as an adult.

One thing this year has really taught me is TIME IS PRECIOUS.

This year because David Case asked me to do this value, it really made me think. It also made me realize sooner than Sunday that Iwill be 44.

44!!

I guess with age come valuable experiences, knowledge and growth!

I read a something from William Penn that said“Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.”

In my younger days I seemed to value money more than I valued most things and specifically time. I wanted to make all the money in the world to buy materialistic things.

As I became a wife and a mom, I quickly realized learning the value “Time is Precious” is truly what’s more important. I mean don’t get me wrong, we all still need money to survive, especially in a world like the one we live in today. That is why it is also important to live a balanced life. We need to know how much timewe should be spending with our loved ones as much as we need to know how much time we need to put into our career. There hasto be a balance. The balance is what will keep us happy and healthy. We don’t want to be missing out on things that are happening outside of work and we definitely need to keep up at work. I have really worked at keeping myself organized these pastfew years so that I can use my time as wisely as possible. I have appreciated my career these past few years as it has allowed for that balance in my world.

This past year because of the Pandemic, really slowed me down ALOT. It has taught me to love me and love my time with me. Before this year, I was spread very thin and didn’t have the time to really think or evaluate how I was living my day to day. Now, I can share my time with a healthy outlook.

If there is one thing I encourage for you it is that you do the same.Enjoy life just a little more! Thanks for listening to me! 
